Cultivating Stress-Free Schools

Image
Reflections from Our Recent Mental Wellness Webinar In today’s fast-paced academic environment, conversations around mental health can no longer be relegated to the sidelines. They belong right at the heart of our classrooms. Recently, I had the incredible privilege of partnering with Edvishan to facilitate a national online workshop titled "Mental Wellness Strategies for Students & Educators STRESS FREE SCHOOLS." Bringing together approximately 68 passionate educators from all corners of India via Zoom, the energy in our virtual room was palpable.  It wasn’t just a lecture; it was a deeply interactive, shared mission to rewrite the narrative around stress in education. Why We Need to Shift the Paradigm? Education today demands more than academic excellence, it requires emotional resilience. Aligned with the vision of NEP 2020, Holistic Education, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), this webinar aimed to address a critical question:  How do we build emotionally safe, wel...

The Madness of March: A Ledger of Legends and Liabilities

Image
March: The Month the World Held Its Breath "There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen." ~Vladimir Lenin The Shadow of War and the Energy S queeze We entered March with the world already on edge, but the escalation of the 2026 Iran War changed everything. For many of us, this wasn't just a headline—it was a reality felt at the fuel pump and in our monthly bills. With the closure of the Strait of Hormuz early in the month, we witnessed the "greatest global energy security challenge in history." We’ve seen the charts: oil prices surging past $120 per barrel and gas benchmarks doubling. Whether it was the "force majeure" declarations or the sight of rationing measures being discussed in Parliament, the month was a stark reminder of how fragile our global lifelines really are. We’ve learned to value every liter of fuel and every unit of gas as if it were gold.   A Sky of Contradictions If the political climate...

The Three Lenses of the Human Experience: Science, Psychology, & Spirituality

Image
In our educational journeys, we are taught to compartmentalize. History is in one room, math is in another, and science is in the laboratory. We are led to believe that these are distinct, isolated silos of knowledge. But when we turn our gaze inward to examine the most fascinating subject of all, ourselves, the lines begin to blur. We have constructed magnificent edifices of understanding: Science, Psychology, and Spirituality. Each has its own lexicon, its own methodology, and its own unique viewpoint. For centuries, we have seen them as distinct, and often conflicting, realms. The reality, however, is far more elegant. They are not competing explanations of the human condition. They are three distinct lenses looking at the very same thing: the complex, beautiful, and deeply personal tapestry of the human story. They are different textbooks, but they are all written on the exact same syllabus. A New Kind of Holism Think of a single human emotion, like serenity. Science wi...

More Than I Prayed For!

Image
There comes a quiet moment in life, not loud, not dramatic, when you pause, look around, and softly whisper: “God, this is more than I prayed for.” That sentence does not come from abundance alone. It comes from endurance. The Journey Before the Gratitude We often celebrate outcomes, but we rarely acknowledge the long corridors of uncertainty we walk through before reaching them. The days when effort felt invisible. The nights of silent worry . The decisions made with trembling faith . The patience that stretched beyond comfort. Growth is rarely glamorous. It is repetitive, disciplined, and sometimes lonely. Yet it builds character in ways success never can. Faith Is Not Passive, It Is Persistent Prayer is not merely asking; it is aligning. When we pray, we clarify our intentions, we anchor our emotions, we strengthen resilience , we reaffirm hope, but what transforms prayer into fulfillment is action. Consistent, deliberate, purposeful action . Faith without effort is wishful ...

Beyond Academics: Discussing "The Missing Link" in Education at Hotel Ramada, Dehradun

Image
It is often said that education is not just about filling a bucket, but lighting a fire. Recently, I had the incredible privilege of helping to fan those flames at the Doon Valley Education Summit , hosted by the prestigious Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Haridwar Campus . Held at the beautiful Hotel Ramada By Wyndham in Dehradun , the event brought together some of the brightest minds in the educational sector. It was an honor to attend not just as a participant, but as a CBSE Resource Person  and a proud representative of SKILL-ED Glibozens School . The Missing Link: Social & Emotional Learning The highlight of the summit for me was the opportunity to take the stage as a Keynote Speaker. My session focused on a topic that I am deeply passionate about: Social & Emotional Learning (SEL): The Missing Link. In today's fast-paced academic environment, we often focus heavily on grades and cognitive skills. However, my talk centered on the necessity of nurturing the hear...

Forms of Faith

Day 4 | Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirling, and the Many Forms of Faith (6 January) The next morning in Dwarka, we began early. A cab picked us up directly from the hotel, and the day unfolded as a beautiful journey through devotion, history, and nature. Crossing the Sudama Setu, with calm waters flowing beneath, felt symbolic-like stepping deeper into the spiritual rhythm of Dwarka. Our first major stop was Bet Dwarka. After submitting our mobile phones at the locker facility, we entered the temple premises. Despite the large crowd, opting for the VIP darshan line allowed us to reach the sanctum with ease. The main Bet Dwarka temple, along with several smaller shrines within the complex, carried a distinct spiritual charm. We offered prayers at temples dedicated to Rukmini Devi, Radha, and other deities, each space radiating quiet devotion. One of the most touching moments of the day was our visit to the Sudama–Krishna Milan Sthal. This sacred spot marks the place where Sudama, Lord K...

When Faith Waits: and Blessings Arrive

Dwarika: When Faith Waits: and Blessings Arrive By 1:00 p.m. on 5 January, it was time to move ahead on our journey. We boarded a sleeper bus to Dwarka, a comfortable ride that included two brief halts along the way- for lunch and refreshments. The journey felt calm, almost reflective, as if preparing us for what awaited. By 6:35 p.m., we reached Dwarka. From the bus stop, we took an auto to Hotel Gomti, located along the Gomti riverfront and just a short walking distance from the back gate of Dwarkadhish Mandir. The location itself felt thoughtfully chosen- quiet, sacred, and close to the divine center of the town. Soon after our arrival, the Pandit ji visited our hotel and accompanied us to the temple for Sandhya Aarti and darshan. As we entered the main mandir griha and were just about to behold Dwarkadhish, the curtains closed for bhog. In that very moment, emotions overwhelmed me. We had travelled nearly 1,500 kilometres for that single glimpse, and it felt as though destiny had p...
